Routers and Firewalls

I have ZoneAlarm Pro, do I need to configure it to allow services to run on my computer?

Yes, you need to configure ZoneAlarm to open the appropriate service port on all incoming connections to your computer. By default, ZoneAlarm will always block all incoming connections to all ports running on your computer. Therefore, it is necessary to tell ZoneAlarm that it should not block specific ports of services you wish to run on your computer.

For details on opening ports in ZoneAlarm, please refer to the documentation that came with the product.
