Frequently Asked Questions
Service blocked by ISP

How do I configure the PlanetDNS Client software to run my website on a different port?

You can enable Web Port Redirection if your ISP is blocking port 80 to your computer and you still want to run your own website. This will allow you to run a web server on an alternate port (other than the default port 80), but still allow your visitors to access your web pages without explicitly specifying the port that your web server is running on. For detailed instructions on how-to enable Web Port Redirection, please visit the How-To section in the PlanetDNS Client online help.
